Bestowed Box Review October 2013 + Coupon Code!

This month I got the lovely opportunity of reviewing a coveted October Bestowed box! (Minus my Zoya nail polish covering my address.) I love Bestowed, their boxes are always jam packed with healthy snacks! Also, the great thing about this October box is that all the contents are 100% GMO free!
Box: Bestowed is a box full of healthy foods, handpicked by celebrity nutritionist Heather Bauer.

Price: $19/month. (Use my link and code 5OFFBESTOWED03 for $5 off your first box!)

Contents: Healthy snacks, foods, and beverages delivered to your doorstep each month.

First look.
I absolutely love the informational booklet bestowed includes; it’s so detailed and even gives tips on how to use the item, and why they love it so much.
Coupons/offers included in the box, including a form for a free subscription to Women’s Health.
Love Crunch ‘Dark Chocolate Macaroon’ Granola (Value $4.69):
This looks so delicious; chocolate and coconut are always a great pair! This company has so many different yummy flavors that I’m dying to try, such as carrot cake and gingerbread. They also participate in the Bite4Bite program, donating each equivalent bought to the food bank! 🙂

The Good Bean ‘Smoky Chili & Lime’ Chickpeas (Value $5):
I never tried chickpeas before and don’t know what they taste like. I saw some of the other flavor varieties (sea salt, sweet cinnamon, etc.) and would be more inclined to taste those as I’m not one for smoky/spicy flavors.
Way Better Snacks Simply Beyond ‘Black Bean’ Tortilla Chips (Value $1):
A huge hit with Bestowed subscribers, I’m going to have to dig into these. Full of protein and Omega’s, and also with only 7 simple ingredients.
Manitoba Harvest Hemp Pro 70 Protein Supplement (Value $1 each):
I’m always excited to get protein supplements! I (try to) go to the gym often, so having something to replenish my muscles after a work out is a must. Easy to throw into a fruit smoothie; yum!

Fiber Love ‘Cinnamon Raisin’ Bar (Value $2):
I’m not big on raisins, but I LOVE cinnamon, so I’ll definitely give this a try! It also has 48% of your daily recommended fiber; wow!
Unreal Peanut Butter Cups (Value $1):
These were good and satisfied my late night sweets craving. If you’re having a Reese’s craving, this is a healthier alternative.

Enjoy Life and Seed Fruit Mix ‘Mountain Mambo’ (Value $2):
I don’t have any allergies, but I can appreciate for others that this trail mix is entirely allergen free! It also sounds like a super yummy snack; my flavor includes sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, chocolate chips, and fruit!
Ultima Replenisher ‘Grape’ (Value $1?):
Great for pre/post workout to recover from electrolyte loss, without all that additional sugar in other replenishment drinks.
Final Thoughts: I’m a huge fan of this month’s Bestowed box! I love how they really try and include healthy snacks that are free of a bunch of junk, and their useful informational booklet tells you exactly what’s NOT in their products. I’m big on having a nice variety in food boxes, and I’m amazed they were able to sneak in some ‘healthy’ chocolate in this selection. I calculated to value to be around $20, so you’re getting your money’s worth (shipping is free!), plus I love discovering new healthier brands to snack on. I highly recommend this subscription!
