Ipsy Bag Review December 2013 – Beauty Subscription

One of my favorite bags has arrived, and boy does it look good! I am completely head over heels for this month’s IPSY bag….yes the actual bag people! Look at that sheen and texture…perfect! You guys are also going to love what’s inside…
Box: Ipsy is a monthly subscription service for beauty products.
Price: $10/month.
Contents: 4-5 beauty products personalized to your profile, determined by a beauty/style quiz. Not everyone gets the same products!
First off we have two products I received for using my Ipsy points from referrals, thanks guys! I’m not sure on the value of these but I know they are awesome extras! I also already have these items, but the referral selection is limited and I didn’t want my points to expire. Perhaps I’ll use them in a fun holiday giveaway!
Nicka K New York Nail Polish (Value $4.99):
I’ve never heard of this brand, but I’m digging the packaging! I don’t usually wear reds but I definitely need one in my collection, so I was happy to get this color. I’m not sure what this shade is called, but I do know it’s perfect for the holidays 🙂
NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in ‘Iris’ (Value $4):
I really like NYX round lipsticks; they are definitely creamy and pigmented. This shimmery orangeish nude is NOT my color though so I will be gifting this.

Pop Beauty Eyeshadow Trio ‘Smokin Hot’ (Value 12?):
So since Pop Beauty doesn’t actually sell their eyeshadows in trios (I can’t find them online at least) I’m not sure on the pricing, but I do know that this brand has great colors and great pigmentation! I love these color selections for a nice smokey eye, and the highlight in this palette is absolutely beautiful.
Signature by English Laundry Perfume Samples (Value?):
I was so surprised at how big these samples were that I was actually stoked to receive them. (I then came to realize that some people got awesome eyeshadow brushes instead of this, so now I’m no longer stoked lol). They came packaged all nicely and although the scent is a little strong, I do like discovering new perfumes. The women’s fragrance is nice and is like a spicy/sweet with hints of vanilla…the mens one is…overwhelmingly manly lol.
Be a Bombshell ‘The One Stick’ in ‘Flustered’ (Value $16):
I’m not a huge fan of this brand (don’t ask me why, its one of those odd random things), and I find multipurpose sticks gross, but I know a lot of people love those kinds of things! This can be used on your eyes, lips, and cheeks. Hopefully if we get another product from this brand it’s something other than red/fuchsia lip products.
Final Thoughts: Although I won’t be using some of the products in this bag, it was of a great value (I estimate around $35+) and I’m sure a lot of people (who are a lot less picky than me!) would love it. Even though I really wanted lashes, the Mirabella eyeshadow brush, and would’ve preferred the other perfume over this one, (whining I know lol),  I must admit it was a great array of products, and I’m happy to have gotten the Pop eyeshadow trio! I also absolutely LOVE the actual bag this year; so chic and sleek and perfect for me!

I understand how you feel about Be a Bombshell, I feel the same way. None of their products that I've tried through Ipsy are bad, just something about the brand doesn't appeal to me. I'm still waiting on my bag, but according to my Glam Room I'll be getting one very similar to your's.

That lipstick color is interesting. I'm not sure I would like it either. But it still looks like a great bag.
