Julep Maven Box Review + FREE Box Code! – December 2013

I love doing my nails in holiday-inspired colors, so I was very excited to see the gorgeous green and red hues Julep had for their December box!
Box: Julep Maven is a monthly nail polish subscription box!
Price: $19.99/month. (Sign up for Julep Maven HERE get your first box FREE [just pay shipping] using code FREEBOX).
Contents: Nail polish, beauty products, and extras! You can choose which box you will have every month, but there is always a surprise item.
First look! My selection for this month was ‘Classic with a Twist’, and I also had an add-on.
All the goodies!

This months theme…
An awesome coupon code and the quote card. The discount might be a original coupon code for each member, but I won’t be using mine so feel free to use it! (If you do use it, please comment down below so others can know it won’t work anymore. Thanks!)

Sweep Eyeshadow Palette – Neutrals (Value $19.20 Maven Pricing):
Julep always seems to come out with a new non-nail polish item every month, and this month it was an awesome eyeshadow palette! I’m sorry I didn’t take pictures of the swatches, but it has an OK pigmentation. I wouldn’t say it’s worth $20, but the color selection is beautiful; very nice for an everyday look.

 Julep Twistband Hairties (Value $5?):
This was my beauty extra! I’m actually really sick of these hair ties, but it’s an extra so I can’t really complain.
Julep Jillian (Value $14):
Described as a ‘Deep Eggplant with Bronze Molten.”
Julep Mia (Value $14):
Described as a “Greenish Silver Metallic.”
Swatches of the above mentioned from the Julep blog. Aren’t they beautiful and perfect for Christmas?!
Party Dress Duo Add-On (Value $28?):
I just had to add this to my box! I love the beautiful bronze color and I don’t have much magentas in my collection. The “Bronze Microshimmer” is called Christine, and the “Magenta Purple Creme” is called Evelyn.

Swatches of the duo above from the blog.
Final Thoughts: I was thrilled to have gotten these beautiful deep holiday colors! I also enjoyed how the box represented the holidays even if it wasn’t ‘Christmasy’. As always the value of the box was extraordinary at around $80! Julep is definitely a steal and I am never disappointed, yet always surprised at my box contents. (If I never want anything from that month, I can always skip!) Sign up for your free box below if you are new to the company, or just check out what they have to offer 🙂
