Ipsy Bag Review January 2014

The first Ipsy bag of 2014! The bag itself was nothing to cheer about, but the contents inside were cool beans. Scroll down and check the goods!
Box: Ipsy is a monthly subscription service for beauty products.
Price: $10/month.
Contents: 4-5 beauty products personalized to your profile, determined by a beauty/style quiz. Not everyone gets the same products!
This was one of my referral rewards (thanks guys!) which I was really impressed with. And a $20 value, what a great deal.

Absolute! Makeup Cleansing Wipes (Value $2.49):
Never heard of this brand before, I think they were trying to pass off as Garnier lol! I can always use more makeup wipes though.
Benefit Porefessional (Value?):
I don’t know that approx. value of this as it’s so small, but I was excited to get a Benefit product, solely because I love the brand. The products are great and the packaging is killer, so even though I don’t have large pores, this will be a nice addition to my makeup collection.
Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm (Value $12):
Whoop for full-sizers. This smelled nice and was very petroleum jelly-ish.
Yaby Liquid Foundation ‘Buff’ (Value $13.35):
Apparently this is full-size, according to the website? (Very confusing as it was a small sample and I wouldn’t pay $14 bucks for it). It was a nice color match to me though, and I don’t think I ever got a liquid foundation in any of my bags, so that was a plus.
Balanced Guru Body Balm (Value 11.25):
I don’t usually go towards lotion or body balms so I wasn’t too excited about this, but it smelled SO GOOD that I had to keep it! It was very citrus-y and left your skin shiny and buttery, but it absorbed nicely.
Final Thoughts: All in all this was an ok bag for me, not the greatest but nothing terrible. The value was around $40 which I think is a bit inflated, but I definitely think it was worth the $10 price tag. (As it always is.) I like that there were some new to me brands in here, it was a fun discovery!
What did you get in your guys Ipsy bag? Did you enjoy it?
