Birchbox Finds Limited Edition Box Review – March 2014

So I heard about the Birchbox Finds box a while back, but never bought it for some reason. (Even though I was surely tempted!) I shortly forgot about it, but one day while browsing the Birchbox shop, I found it for it’s original price of $18. I had $20 worth of points, so I jumped on it! (The information below is for the regular monthly boxes, not this one!)

Box: Birchbox gives you beauty and lifestyle products each month.

Price: $10/month.

Contents: 4-5 samples each month, from mini to deluxe, & sometimes full-size!

The box was a bit larger and had a nice citrus colored cover.

The information card. If you notice, everything was full-sized! Best Birchbox ever, and for only $8 more than the regular price.

Nivea A Kiss of Care and Color in ‘Sheer Crimson’ (Value $4.99):
I’ve seen these on display as I believe they are Nivea’s newest lip product, and I’m excited to try it out as I love lip balm! I hope the crimson color adds just the right touch of subtle color.

Rimmel London Stay Glossy 3D Gloss (Value $4.99):
I’m not really a huge fan of sparkly pink glosses…or super sparkly gloss in general, so this will be passed on.

Covergirl Bombshell Volume Mascara (Value $11.99):
I think this is the biggest (and most expensive) Covergirl mascara I’ve ever seen. Being a total mascara freak (no, 10 mascaras aren’t enough!), I have been drooling over it for months. It has a volumizing base coat and a lengthening top coat, and I’m so glad it’s mine! I think it’s going to be great, Covergirl has amazing mascaras.

Covergirl Bombshell Shineshadow in ‘Ice Queen’ (Value $8.99):
This is a cream shadow that’s supposed to be long-wearing with a subtle shimmer. I think this would be a really nice base on the lid along with a dark cut crease.

Biore Self Heating One Minute Mask (Value $7.99):
I totally need this, my skin has been breaking out so bad lately 🙁 I also think self heating facial products are SUPER cool!

John Frieda Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixer (Value $9.99):
My hair (mostly my ends) gets dry every once in a while now, and I think it’s due to the constant red touch ups. I’ve found that oil helps to rejuvenate my hair and make it less frizzy, so this will come in handy.

Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Nail Polish (Value $7.99):
Honestly, I’ve never tried this polish before! It has a base coat, top coat, and gel color all in one, and I just feel like I need that in my life. I hate the color though! Boo 🙁

Final Thoughts: This was such a brilliant box, and I think Birchbox should release more of these in the future! I got a value of about $57, and remember, it was only $18! I love that these items were drugstore items that could be easily purchased from Target or CVS from example, and they all seem to be relatively newer items. So happy I got this!
