Urthbox Review April 2014 + Coupon Code! – Healthy Snack Subscription Box

This is my April Urthbox, and I just realized that I have the Medium size, not the small! So many interesting goodies came this month; this box is always so dang heavy, which is a great thing 🙂 Also, there are lots of items and no information card, so I won’t be providing values. Sorry!
Box: Urthbox is a snack subscription box to help you discover new healthy products.
Price: $29/month (Free s/h.) **This is for the medium size. They have a small size for $19/month.
Contents: Varies on type of box, but most likely will have 10-20 healthy products. There are 5 different types of boxes: Standard, Snacker, Vegan, Diet, and Gluten-Free.
The information card(s) and coupons.

La Tortilla Factory Whole Wheat Tortillas:
I don’t like whole wheat…yes I know it’s good for you, but it tastes awful to me 🙁
Annie Chun’s Roasted ‘Sesame’ Seaweed Snacks:
I LOVE seaweed! I could eat it all day I think…this was yummy!
Unreal ‘The Loaded One’:
These are chocolate covered peanut caramel nougat, so I assume they would taste similar to a Snickers bar. I don’t like this brand though; their version of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups scarred me for life.

 Hail Merry Macaroons ‘Choco’:
These sound yummy, and their gluten-free!
Roots Superfood Powder:
I might add these to one of my smoothies this upcoming week, and it’s blueberry flavored! YUMMM.
SunRype 100% Fruit Strip:
Oooh I’m so excited for these, I love fruit strips and they are a great snack.

Bach Rescue Pearls:
I’ve never heard of these before, but they are supposed to lower your stress levels. I’m definitely going to try these babies out.
Wai Lana Chips ‘Thai Curry & Lime’:
Sorry, I don’t do this flavor and won’t be trying it.

Zouq Curry Crunch:
A sweet/spicy trail mix that I won’t be indulging in, but interesting concept.

Natural Delights Medjool Dates:
Sorry but this is ew, ew, ew looking!
Caveman Cookies:
I don’t like these, but I know a lot of people find them sweet and delicious.
New Tree Orange Pearls:
Ahh, these are so cool! I’m so excited to eat these; I feel fancy just looking at them!

Elianni Vegan Pate:
I totally had to Google ‘pate’; I’ve never heard of it before! I’m assuming this is a mixture of oils and vegetables to make a tapenade-like paste. I don’t like some of the ingredients in this (spicy!), but what a great product to send out! Also mine was oily 🙁
Final Thoughts: One of the things that I really like about Urthbox are the pure multitude of snacks you get. In this box alone I received 14 different brands, which is a great way to try out and discover new foods! I do wish though that information on each one was included though. Also, for my picky tastes, it’s hard to like such an eclectic mix of food, but that’s just my personal problem lol. I don’t have an estimate of how much all this was worth, but I’m pretty sure more than $29! Finally, I know this is a newer company, but its very hard to navigate their site, and a lot of kinks need to be worked out. Let’s hope things get corrected soon! (Like where is the Urthbox shop?!)
(Don’t forget to use coupon code Crunchweek for $10 off!)
