Ipsy Bag Review June 2014 – Makeup Subscription Box

One of my favorite bags of the month as arrived! ๐Ÿ™‚
Box: Ipsy is a monthly subscription service for beauty products.
Price: $10/month.
Contents: 4-5 beauty products personalized to your profile, determined by a beauty/style quiz. Not everyone gets the same products!
This months theme was Pretty In Paradise. (Although I never really get the connection between most of the products and the themes.) My extra this month was the Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Peony. ($20!) This is a nice shade, but it’s not very smooth or moisturizing…it goes on kind of thick and dry, so much that I needed to apply 4 times just to coat my lips!
Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray (Value $3):
I don’t use hair products that often due to laziness, but I do like salt spray for beachy waves.
Real Tree Perfume (Value $1?):
I don’t dig perfume samples, especially strong floral ones like this one. I wonder how many people actually buy perfumes based off of the one time use samples they try…

NYX Butter Gloss in ‘Creme Brรปlรฉe’ (Value $5):
This smells good, and is very…buttery! I love the color too, it’s the perfect nude.
Ofra Universal Eyebrow Pencil (Value $15):
I’m not sure about universal…(blonde eyebrows?), but this is a great eyebrow pencil that was very creamy.

Be A Bombshell Mascara Lash Out Mascara (Value $15):
I am not a huge fan of this brand, but I fricken love mascara so I’m happy about this.
Final Thoughts: Although I don’t like the perfume sample, I think there were a few key products in here that I really liked, including the NYX Butter Gloss and the Ofra Eyebrow Pencil. The value of this bag was around $39 (not including my Jouer extra), so as always very exceeding of the $10 price tag. I also thought the bag this month was a pretty print ๐Ÿ™‚
