This month’s Ipsy bag theme was Sensationally Sunkissed, and the products included a bunch of summer appropriate products. Also, this is officially my newest favorite Ipsy bag EVER! I love the shape and texture so much.
Box: Ipsy is a monthly subscription service for beauty products.
Contents: 4-5 beauty products personalized to your profile, determined by a beauty/style quiz. Not everyone gets the same products!
Hang Ten Dark Tanning Oil SPF 8 (Value $1.50):
My skins pretty weird; I’m fairly light-skinned and use sunscreen, but I also tan really easily and hardly burn. (American Indian blood or Hawaiian blood I’m guessing? lol) Anyways I don’t really use tanning oil, but I want to give this a shot and see what kind of results I get. I usually like to protect my skin with a higher spf though.
Pixi Beauty Mini Tinted Brilliance Balm in ‘Unique Pink’ (Value $8.40):
This was always a higher priced brand, so it’s awesome that we see it in these bags quite often. This is a nice bright pop of color for summer, and great against tanned skin.
Bare Minerals 5-in-1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow (Value $6):
I’m not a huge fan of cream eyeshadows, but I love the idea of how this has a primer and is resistant to creasing. I tried this out and it’s a nice neutral shade.
Lavilin Jojoba Skin Soother Gel Cream (Value $3?):
I’m guessing the value on this, but this moisturizer is perfect for your skin, especially if you got a little burnt at the beach 😉
Pur Big Proof Waterproof Mascara (Value $13):
Oooh I’m a mascara junkie, but I hate waterproof! (I can never get it off my lashes!) I can see how this would be amazing for summer though, and I am excited to try this brand out. The packaging is SO beautiful too. I didn’t get a picture unfortunately, but it was made to look like it was wet, and it looked legit.
Final Thoughts: Unlike many months in the past, I think that all of these items really fit the theme of this bag perfectly. I just love how all these screamed summer, from the long lasting makeup to the skin essentials for the scorching sun. I can’t wait to see how the mascara affects my lashes, and I think the Bare Minerals product is pretty innovative. (I just love that brand too, I won’t mind seeing them in my bags all the time.)
