Urthbox Review July 2014 – Snack Subscription Box

I’m not sure what is up with Urthbox and all of the things that come with it, but it’s one confusing company. There are so many varieties of what people get, late shipments, an unknown Urthbox shop….it’s one of my least favorite companies at the moment.
Box: Urthbox is a snack subscription box to help you discover new healthy products.
Price: $29/month (Free s/h.) **This is for the medium size. They have a small size for $19/month.
Contents: Varies on type of box, but most likely will have 10-20 healthy products. There are 5 different types of boxes: Standard, Snacker, Vegan, Diet, and Gluten-Free.

Baba Joon’s Chocolate Chews ‘Orange Almond’ (Value $0.92):
This doesn’t seem like my cup of tea unfortunately :/ Orange and almond just aren’t my favorite combinations.

Harvest Snaps Snapea Crisps (Value $0.50):
These are actually pretty decent for ‘pea chips’, but I can’t find myself eating a ton before I get sick of it.

Bops ‘Sea Salt’ Potato Chips (Value $0.50) :
I am a potato chip addict lover, so no complaints here.

Pop Art ‘Thai Coconut Curry’ Gourmet Popcorn (Value $1.75):
I wanted to jump on board with this so bad, but I just couldn’t do curry popcorn, I just couldn’t! Super fancy though, which is cool.

Yum Earth Naturals Sour Beans (Value $1.49):
Such cute packaging, and my husband loves jelly beans so whoop!

Neo Premium Organic Energy Drink (Value $1.50):
I definitely need this, but I never drink energy drinks. (I’m scared of how my body will react.)

Mamma Chia ‘Blackberry Bliss’ Chia Squeeze (Value $1.75):
I discovered the wonderful beings of chia squeeze from fruit snacks like these! The beeessssttt.

Matt’s Munchies ‘Island Mango’ Premium Fruit Snack (Value $2):
I love fruit snacks, as they are such a healthy alternative to potato chips and candy bars!

Final Thoughts: I have no idea what’s going on with this subscription…really! First of all, they are still giving points for this ‘Urthbox Shop’, but it’s nonexistent! They have had their company running long enough, and a shop should be up. (Otherwise the points are kind of useless.) I got a decent variety of products in the box, (some really nice snacks), but the value was only around $10, which is extremely low, even for the small box. Speaking of which, there should be something letting us know if we got the small or medium box. Ugh! Frustrated.

    I think you might be missing some snacks. I definitely had more than that in my July box.

    This company has the worst customer service ever.

    I just moved and I changed my address on the website the only place you can change it. I get the tracking info for my August boxes, I'm subscribed to three boxes, and I check to see where my boxes are. Tracking info says they've been delivered, they shipped them to the old address though.

    Obviously I'm pretty disappointed so I email them letting them know what happened. They respond saying that I should have emailed them to change my shipping address and that if I want my August boxes I will have to pay $6 more per box for them to be shipped to the correct address, the address that I had already changed on their website which says NOTHING anywhere as far as having to email them to change your shipping location.

    I let them know that I thought it was pretty messed up how they were handling this situation considering it was their error and their website issues that caused it to happen. To which they let me know that they would be adding a note to their website to email them if you need to change your shipping address. Yet are still requiring that I pay them another $18 on top of the already $70+ that I paid for my August boxes.

    Now they've stopped responding to me and are censoring me from their Facebook page.

    This is a terrible company with terrible standards, they will not last long.

    That's horrible, I'm so sorry for that happening! I'd report it to the BBB.
