Send Me Gluten Free Review August 2014

I recently got the opportunity from Send Me Gluten Free to try out their new box, and I was very happy to do so! Although I can eat gluten, I know it’s better NOT to, and I’m always down to go ahead and make an effort to eat healthier. Let’s see what we got!
Box: Send Me Gluten Free is a monthly box of gluten-free goodies.
Price: $30/month. (Free s/h).
Contents: 8-12 sample-sized and full-sized products, ranging from food, to supplements, and more!

First look!

Sevierly Good Organic Brownie Mix (Value $12):
This has got to be the healthiest brownie mix I’ve ever seen; I can’t wait to see how it tastes! And it sells for $12 on Amazon; seems of great quality.
TeeChia ‘Blueberry Date’ Energy Cereal (Value $2?):
Not sure on the value of this one, but I know it’s packed with superfoods like chia, flax, and quinoa! I also love that it’s sweetened with fruit instead of sugar.

Organic Black Bean Spaghetti (Value $7):
You know I’ve been looking to try a healthier pasta alternative for some time now. I LOVE pasta, but I know it’s loaded with carbs, and always makes me so tired afterward. I really hope I like this!
Teccino Organic Dandelion Dark Roast Herbal Coffee (Value $0.50?):
This is a caffeine-free alternative to coffee, which is great because I drink decaf anyway. This will be something I give a go during those long work days.

Juice+ Orchard + Garden Blends Chewables (Value $1):
These are little gummy fruit/vegetable supplements. I heard the vegetable ones aren’t that good, which is what I would expect…yikes!
Red Apple Lipstick Rallye Balm Sample (Value $0.50?):
Wow, this promises to get your lips chapped free in 7 days or your money back! I definitely need to see if this works, because my lips are always dry. Too bad it’s such a small sample though 🙁
Organic Surf Sweets Fruity Hearts ‘Watermelon and Cherry’
These are pretty yummy!

Now Foods Better Off Red Tea (Value $0.50?):
More caffeine free tea! Yay!
San-J Organic Tamari (Value $0.50?):
This is an organic, gluten-free soy sauce. In Hawaii we refer to soy sauce as ‘shoyu’ and are very particular about brands/taste…we’ll see about this one.
Coupons, information cards, and even a free product item for Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods! (Value $6.99)
Final Thoughts: Being that this is my first box (and first impression) of Send Me Gluten Free, I was actually very pleased with what I got! All of the items were free from tons of unnecessary additives, and the quality of these products seem great. I did notice some tiny samples like the teas/balm/soy sauce, but I also did notice that we got 3 “big ticket”/full-size items, so that was a huge plus. The variety of gluten-free items were nice, and the lip balm was a nice surprise. I would have liked to see an information card with values though, that would have been nice! (I had a bit of a hard time determining the values, but I roughly estimated it to be around $30.) This covers the cost of the box, so at least that’s that.
