The Pantry Gourmets Bitebox Review December 2014 – Gourmet Food Subscription Box

One of my favorite subscription boxes have arrived! This is the December Bitebox from the Pantry Gourmets. Don’t ask me what happened to the November box, because I unfortunately don’t know :/ I bet it would have been amazing though with the Thanksgiving theme.
Box: Bitebox is a gourmet food subscription box.

Price: $50/month, free s/h.
Contents: 4-6 artisan items each month, along with recipes featuring the flavor profiles of that months theme.

Inside of the information card. So information heavy. (Which is not a bad thing.)

The vibrant recipe cards from this month. Still something I think that makes this subscription stand out 🙂
Frontier Soups Roasted Garlic Spinach Dip Mix (Value $3.49):
I love me some spinach dip! I need to buy a couple of ingredients for this, but I think it will be totally worth it. Plus you can make this hot or cold.
Mustard and Co. Brown Classic Mustard (Value $7):
My husband has been getting attached to all the delicious condiments that I’ve been receiving through subscription boxes. This will be loved 😉
Chef Salt 7 Salts (Value $10.95):
This is a bottle of genius. 7 different types of salt, 2 types of peppercorns, as well as a bit of sugar. This will totally elevate my cooking to a whole new level.

Here is a good look at the salt. Not to be weird but to me it looks beautiful lol.
Muirhead Foods Apple Cranberry Chutney (Value $7.25):
Don’t laugh, but I thought for the longest time that chutney was jam that you just put on bread lol. This is a sweet and sour chutney, with apples, cranberries, raisins, and some spices. It’s also recommended that this be put on some pork, which sounds amazing.

Moonstruck Chocolate Company Classic Hot Cocoa Mix (Value $12):
First of all, this can is so cute! I love it! And hot cocoa for Christmas is just perfect isn’t it? It’s even kinda chilly here, so I’m stoked for this.

Tumbador Vanilla Snicker Doodle Spread (Value $10):
Can we just take a moment…..someone has made a snicker doodle spread people…..I can’t. It’s so indulgent and delicious! I think I could only eat this sparingly, but I very much want to give it to my friend, who I know would love this!
Final Thoughts: This was a terrific arrangement of foods that have a holiday feel. With the ‘cookie’ spread, cranberry chutney, and hot cocoa…it just screams Christmas to me. I loved the variation as always, and these all seemed very gourmet and unique. The value was around $50.69, which is almost a direct match for the cost. (I think you get some extra value though with the recipe cards, reusable bag it comes in, free shipping, and culmination of unique, smaller brands!)
