Just letting you all know that unfortunately, this is my last Ipsy bag/post. Don’t know if I’m going to resubscribe in the future (I have before), but currently I have just have too much makeup and don’t need to pay for more little samples/products. My last bag wasn’t that great either. Meh!
Box: Ipsy is a monthly subscription service for beauty products.
Contents: 4-5 beauty products personalized to your profile, determined by a beauty/style quiz. Not everyone gets the same products!
Laneige BB Cushion Samples (Value $1?):
I honestly can’t estimate the values of these because they are just samples of each shade of this bb cream product. I actually had the full-size (which was quite expensive), but I didn’t care for it as the coverage was rather light.
Nyx Butter Lipstick ‘Hunk’ (Value $7):
I had high hopes for this as I love Nyx’s butter gloss, but this was an absolute disappointment for me. The color was not flattering at all, and applied with the texture and opacity of a tinted chapstick. Yuck!
Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels (Value $7.50 for both):
I was really excited to get these actually, they just seem like they
Marykay At Play Eye Crayon ‘Teal Me More’ (Value $10):
I used to be obsessed with the Nyx Jumbo eye pencils which I assume are similar to these. They are great as an eyeshadow base, but I don’t think I will be using this color too often.
Coolway Oil Treatment (Value $3):
I really don’t need anymore treatment oils in my life to be honest lol. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the cool way hair straightener though. And what is with the weird stick thingy?
Final Thoughts: The value of this bag was around $28 dollars, which is great for a $10 bag. Personally though, I didn’t really care for any of these products besides the eye patches, so this bag was a bust. I think this is a great and affordable subscription for those who aren’t super picky with makeup, and/or those who don’t have a huge collection. I have an excess of beauty products, which is why a lot of these things are passed on by me to friends and family. It’s not a bad subscription, just not for me at the moment!
