Full disclaimer: I’m a complete Harry Potter fanatic. I’ve read all the books multiple times over, completely obsess over anything HP related, and even got a HP tattoo permanently inked on my skin. It was no surprise that I couldn’t resist this coveted box – HP Forever!
Box: J.K Rowling’s Wizarding World Crate is part of the Loot Crate family of subscription boxes.
Price: $34.99 every 2 months, plus s/h.
Contents: 5-7 exclusive and official licensed Harry Potter universe products. You also get to pick your house when you sign up!
The theme for May was ‘Dark Arts’. Awesome packaging!
Information card.
Fantastic Beasts Shirt (Value $15?):
The first product was a shirt of Percival Graves, a villain from Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. While I’m not really involved with the Fantastic Beasts fandom, I do love the quote and shirt itself. I got it oversized so I could wear it to sleep 🙂 “We’ve lived in the shadows for too long.”
Feline Plate Set (Value $10?):
This is of course in reference to the most hated villain of all time, Professor Umbridge. Seriously, I remember throwing the book across the room while reading about her terrorizing everyone! Her obsession with cats inspires this 4 plate, plastic set. While a cool object, I don’t find it too practical. (They are too small to eat off of and definitely would be out of place in my cupboard!)
Tom Riddle’s Diary Pin (Value $8?):
This is so unique! I really like how the basilisk fang is attached, letting you actually stab the horcrux itself. So cool.
Azkaban Pouch (Value $15?):
I love this! It’s great for a small makeup bag or pencil case, and the design is absolutely perfect for HP fans.
Stationary Wax Stamp Set (Value $15?):
This contains 6 envelopes, 6 note cards, wax and a seal stamp. I love the idea of this and have always wanted to try and stamp a wax seal, so this will be fun. It’s not too practical for me, but an amazing find for those interested in stationary.
Final Thoughts: I’m torn on my first Wizarding World Crate. First of all, I wasn’t a huge fan of the Dark Arts theme, and not that much interested in the Fantastic Beasts fandom. I would definitely prefer a HP only subscription, but the shirt was still a nice inclusion. As for the other items, they were all cool and very unique, but I feel like most will just be sitting around collecting dust. I definitely think the value is worth it, especially for exclusive items, but not sure if I am going to resubscribe.
